silicone rubber trays for use in the food industry

For over 25 years Rubbertech has been supplying technical mouldings to the electronics industry.  Initially the focus was on manufacturing silicone keypads for telephones and television remote controls.

Over time our product range expanded to include mouldings such as protective covers for electronic devices, seals & gasket mouldings, plastic injection mouldings, keypad assemblies that include flexible circuits with LED backlighting and Liquid Silicone over-moulding assemblies.

Our UK factory has rubber moulding, printing, spraying, and laser etching technologies. Our in-house engineers, moulding expertise, stockholding areas and inspection areas ensure we offer customers a high-quality precision product with the flexibility that comes from a local supplier.

Alongside our UK moulding we have forged strategic partnerships developed over 20 years with companies in China. These partnerships have allowed us to expand our services and mouldings that we offer to include injection mouldings, liquid silicone mouldings, silicone keypad mouldings as well as electronic assemblies.

Rubbertech continues to upgrade equipment and facilities in the UK to offer products in varied materials, specialist coatings and high technical specifications.

We welcome visitors to our site and encourage video meetings to discuss projects with customers so we can pass on advice and assistance where possible.

Rubbertech is a genuine UK manufacturer of rubber moulded products. Our factory in Gloucestershire has been established for over 30 years.

The equipment in the UK factory is capable of processing most modern technical elastomers. Large investment has been made in the last few years to completely replace all of our moulding equipment with the latest computer controlled moulding presses to ensure the highest moulding standards can be achieved.

This allows us to produce mouldings that will achieve various chemical, temperature, electrical and environmental standards and also with the option of metal to rubber bonding.

We have in house printing and spraying facilities that can offer various protective and cosmetic finishes to our silicone rubber mouldings, these coatings can alter the texture, colour and wear resistance of the mouldings. We can also mould in thermo chromic material that will change the colour of the moulding with temperature.

A recent addition to our finishing area is a laser etching machine, along with further investment in our spraying area this now allows us to offer UK production of high quality backlit keypads at similar prices to the Far East factories.

Rubbertech always look to offer customers best service and delivery and offer to hold stock of parts to help reduce lead-times.

Rubbertech are committed to quality, continually looking at our processes to improve where possible and 100% inspect all mouldings before being despatched. We ensure all measuring equipment is regularly calibrated and have in house non-contact video measuring equipment to ensure accuracy.

We are credited to ISO 9001 and we encourage customers to visit our factory where we can discuss your requirements further and also explain the processes we use.

Ventilator challenge, increasing our output tenfold.

We were approached in early April 2020 to supply critical mouldings for the Penlon ES0 2 ventilators as part of the Ventilator Challenge UK Consortium. Our particular challenge was to increase our output tenfold to supply over 3,000 components a week for a total of 15,000 units.

700 components on one carrier plate

A customer contacted us requiring a carrier plate to facilitate the transportation of minuscule microelectronic components during production and also burn tests. After development with the customer we helped finalise a solution in the form of a silicone skin moulded onto a stainless steel carrier plate that can transport up to 700 components.
