Why Membrane Keypads?

Membrane Keypads offer cost effective switching solutions for electronic assemblies.

Each membrane keypad consists of a graphic overlay, flexible circuit layer and final adhesive backing layer.

The top layer overlay is fully customisable often with multiple print layers, surface textures, embossed buttons and laser etching when backlighting is required.

Further layers to the membrane keypad construction are then assembled, these layers contain the switch circuits.

Additional options for membrane keypads include

• Metal dome or Poly dome switches offering improved tactile response for each button.
• Integrated SMT LED’s for backlighting
• Flexible printed circuits or PCB back panels
• Metal back panels
• Adhesive backing layers suitable for customers assembly / housing
